ADMINISTRATION
Seniors; this Friday, 3/12, is the day that all senior contracts are to be in the Assistant Principals office signed by both you and your parent. Failure to have it in on time will result in a Saturday School. Don’t delay.
This Friday, 3/12, is the day all guest passes for Sadies are due in the Assistant Principals office. No exceptions. Don’t forget the photo ID of your guest which must accompany the guest pass.

Hands for Hopes Soldier Care Package Drive is taking place from March 1-12. All of the items collected will be shipped overseas to soldiers from El Dorado County. Drop off black socks, gum, playing cards, and letters to the bin in your second period class. The winning second period will get an ice cream party.
CAREER CENTER
Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in Civics! Stop by the Career Center to pick up information about the Real World Civics Summer Internship Program. This is a dynamite program and is highly recommended by our own Angela Brown, who participated as a student. The deadline is Friday April 23rd.
Join us this Wednesday at the Oak Ridge Career Fair from 6 – 8 PM in the cafeteria. We will have approximately 40 career professionals and local programs represented and just by attending you will have a chance to win prom and movie tickets!
Attention Junior Females who are interested in Fashion! Stop by the Career Center to pick up information about the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board. The deadline for applications in April 11th.
Attention females! The Miss El Dorado and Miss Teen El Dorado applications are available in the Career Center. Don’t miss out on this local scholarship competition. Win as much as $1,500 for colleges! An information session is scheduled on March 27th and applications are due April 23rd.
Attention Seniors! Sign up to take your community college assessment test @ Oak Ridge on March 15th or 22nd from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Don’t Delay!

Students
Drivers Ed – Mr. VanDerWende is taking the signups for the last drivers ed class this year. See Mr.VanDerWende in the boys locker room or in P-2 for more info. This is a first period class that goes through the whole week, Monday to Friday for 7 weeks.
Other
All students interested in joining the advanced leadership class next year should pick up a packet and other information in the leadership room N – 1. Don’t be late, please pick up and fill out your packets now. All packets are due on March 12th.
9th grade students who may be interested in taking AP World History and Honors II next year may attend ONE of the following dates:
Monday, March 8, at 7:45 AM in B-7
Tuesday, March 9, at 3:00 PM in B-3
Wednesday, March 10, at 3:00 in B-3
Each student should bring a dark ink pen and highlighter (we'll provide the paper). Composition lasts about 35 minutes.
THE SPRING PLAY
Oak Ridge High School Drama students will be presenting You Can’t Take It With You. This timeless classic will perform on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from March 11th through March 20th, at 7:00pm. Matinees are on Saturdays, March 13th and 20th at 3:00pm. CLUBS
National Honor Society is sponsoring the Walk for MitoKids to help fund research for children with Mitochondria Disease. For more information about the walk and to register, please visitwww.helpmitokids.org . The walk will be on Saturday, March 13th, and will be an amazing community event.
