CLUBS
Will all of the students that have signed up for AP Environmental Science NEXT year please attend a meeting in E6 at lunch on May 16th
Pencils for Haiti! Pleas save your extra pencils to help the students at Saint Joseph’s School in northern Haiti. It’s hard to believe, but the school and its students are so poor that students have to share pencils, as many as six sharing one pencil. Please save your pencils, even used ones, to donate to our pencil drive. Many of your teachers will have donation boxes in their classrooms. If not, please drop pencils off in the library or in Mrs. Colvin’s room, O-1.
It’s such a small thing to us, but for students who’ve never had pencils of their own, this will be a real treat. Same thing for erasers, or small sharpeners, or rulers. Collections will continue through the last day of school.
Working together we can make a difference in the lives of over three hundred children and encourage their parents and teachers! Thank you!
FINANCE
As of May 1st the finance office will only accept cash, cashiers checks or money orders for all purchases and payments.
LIBRARY
Attention seniors
We are close to Senior Checkout Day. Avoid hassles. Do some advance checking to make certain all is in order. Here are two things you can do in the library:
Have us check your textbook record. We can tell you which textbooks must be returned before Senior Checkout Day. If one of your textbooks is missing, you will either need to pay for it or replace it before May 24th – Senior Checkout Day. A replacement takes a couple of weeks to arrive, so you must order as soon as possible. Talk to the library staff about all of this.
Have us check your library record. We can tell you about overdue materials and/or outstanding fines. Items must be returned and fines paid before May 24th.
SPORTS
Anyone interested in wrestling for Oak Ridge,
There will be a mandatory wrestling meeting in Coach Rhyan’s Room – E-8 Thursday May 17th at lunch. Information on our summer workout program will be given out. If you plan on wrestling next year, make sure you are at the meeting Thursday during lunch in E-8.
